Flights to Sicily
To reach this wonderful piece of paradise, the closest airports are Catania and Palermo. Catania Fontanarossa (CTA) is the closest and suggested airport.
We recommend booking your inter-europe travel to Sicily now with the latest suggested arrival to Sicily on Friday, 26th (or early morning Saturday, 27th) in order to catch the ferry to Salina on Saturday, 27th for the 13:00 CHECK-IN at the hotel.
On the day of departure, Tuesday 30th, please make sure to book your flight after 13:00 to ensure enough time to leave the island and get to the airport.
For those flying from the United States, you can try booking directly to Sicily as a connecting flight or you can use the local carriers EasyJet, Ryanair or Wizz Air, depending on your port of entry. Booking a local carrier separately is usually cheaper.
How to get there
The journey to Salina is bit of an adventure, but well worth it. Therefore, we suggest you plan right away and follow the below directions. First, book your flight to Sicily as soon as possible. After your stay at Hotel Ravesi is confirmed (RSVP on this website), the hotel receptionist will email you to help you arrange your transfers including the hydrofoil to the island. We will make it as easy as possible and please let us know if you have any questions or need help. Ready to jump on a call any time.
Catania to Milazzo Port

For those staying at Hotel Ravesi, the receptionist can organise and book your transport from Catania airport to the Milazzo Port.
Options include shared minivans, bus and private transfers which will drop you off directly at the port. The transport will take approx. 1.5 hours.
For those who want to book now and on your own, we reccomend the shared minivan leaving Catania and reaching Milazzo numerous times per day or the bus.

Hydrofoil to Salina
If you are staying at Hotel Ravesi, the receptionist can organise the hydrofoil for you.
Alternatively, once in Milazzo, you can purchase the hydrofoil ticket at the port or you can purchase it online ahead. Just consider it takes 1h30 to 2h to reach the Milazzo port from Catania airport.
We suggest to purchase both ways:
Milazzo > Santa Marina Salina + Santa Marina Salina > Milazzo

Hydrofoils leave multiple times a day. Please note, this is the only way to get to the island.
Once in Salina
From the port of Santa Marina, Salina, it takes about 15 mins by car to reach the town of Malfa. There are a few options to get there. The receptionist at Hotel Ravesi can also organise this for you.
You can take a taxi or bus form the port. Taxi’s are often waiting for hydrofoil arrivals or this can be pre-arranged with the hotel.
There is also the option to rent a car in the port of Santa Marina at Rent Bongiorno if you want your own transport to explore the island.

Hotel Ravesi
The wedding ceremony and other celebrations will take place at Hotel Ravesi. We have reserved the entire hotel for all three nights: Saturday 27/5, Sunday 28/5 and Monday 29/5. We would love for most, if not all of you, to stay with us at Hotel Ravesi so we can experience the three days together.
To book your stay at Hotel Ravesi, please RSVP to the event via this website and we will coordinate with you soon. Those staying all three nights have priority but please RSVP regardless with what is possible.
